represented by new biomaterials used in dedicated implant manufacture for medical sciences that can generate a microenvironment adequate for cellular differentiation in a controlled manner to regenerate the damaged or absent tissue.<\/h3><h3><strong>The project&#8217;s main objective<\/strong> consists of designing, manufacturing, characterizing, and testing new configurations of bioactive and biodegradable Mg-based alloys implant with anatomical geometry used for critical-sized bone defect treatment. In order to achieve the project objectives, we establish a work strategy, based on the previous experience and results obtained. The main elements of originality and innovation of the proposed project consist of the fact that the implants, that will be developed, will have a similar geometry to that of the human bone, and their shape will be anatomically adapted. The results obtained extend the current state of knowledge in the field of resorbable implants and personalized medical devices, supported by the creation of a dedicated database and the submission of a patent application, which confirms the originality and innovative character of the proposed solutions.<br \/>From a socio-economic perspective, the project has the potential to generate significant benefits for public health. Biodegradable magnesium-based implants with anatomically adapted geometry and bioactive coatings can reduce the need for secondary surgical interventions to remove implants, accelerate bone healing, and decrease the risk of post-operative complications. These advantages lead to reduced hospitalization time, lower treatment costs, and shorter recovery periods for patients with critical-sized bone defects.<br \/>The project&#8217;s scientific impact will be highlighted through the dissemination of its results in peer-reviewed journals.
